 Freedom Ride Animal Rescue was founded by Phil Cooper and Brandy Woehler in July 2022. Phil is an animal lover who has been involved in many animal rescues over the past 20 years; including transportation, volunteering and a former President of WIAR Rescue. Brandy has always loved animals and has been working with them for the past 5 years between volunteering and until recently a shelter director for WIAR Rescue In May of 2022 they decided to form a Rescue to help fill a void in the rescue community. Since June we have already helped 67 dogs and 13 cats totaling 80 Animals Helped in a few short months! Transportation is a large part of our rescue; helping dogs who are at kill-shelters find placement with no-kill rescues is one of our main priorities.
